Over 1,1230 episodes of this jam-packed, samurai-edited juggernaut of raw, untamed SLACK are available.
The Hour of Slack is produced weekly by REV. IVAN STANG (PO Box 181417, Cleveland Hts, Ohio, 44118-1417, USA) -- send tapes or CDs there for possible exploitation. Alternately, you can email stang@subgenius.com with your submissions (if they're under 5 mb or so, per day). Or, post them to alt.binaries.slack on Usenet.

All are in stereo, and the 80k version is FM broadcast quality. The MP3 files are also available on 12 episode MP3 CD's from the Bulldada Time Control Laboratories scatalogue.

A note about .ogg files:
To play the Ogg files, you'll need an Ogg ready player, examples of these are listed below. They're organized by operating system, so if you find something that works for your OS and isn't on this list, feel free to email Stang or Bucky about it, and we'll add it to the list.
Macintosh:
- WHAMB for OS X; works great; free.
- VLC MEDIA PLAYER for OS X; free; plays damn near anything.
- MacAmp for OS X & OS 9.
- Quicktime and iTunes play OGGs with the OGG plug-in. NOTE: the new Quicktime 7 and iTunes don't handle Ogg Vorbis files anymore, until you update the Ogg Vorbis component -- a quick and painless procedure from http://www.nouturn.com/oggdrop/ --This gives you the free OggDrop program, which converts audio to Ogg, and a Quicktime Components installer, which adds components allowing the new Quicktime and iTunes to play Oggs.
Linux & Unix:
Windows:
- WinAmp 5, the full free version (not the "lite" version).
- OggDropXPd drag and drop, converts *.wav's into *.ogg files and vice versa. An easy way to burn Ogg's to an audio CD (if your disk burning software doesn't already recognize the Ogg format).
Palm OS:
- AeroPlayer. The free trial version plays Ogg files. Only the purchased version plays MP3 files.
