One of the *many* highlights of XXX-Day was the WORLD PREMIERE of the NEW LOGO
for the Church of the SubGenius: The "Bob" Icon! No, the Dobbshead is not
being phased out - for that is IMPOSSIBLE, as we all know. BUT, a NEW MEME
has been introduced for us to use to infiltrate the new, modern world of the
Conspiracy. The New Logo is a simple symbol: a circle with four lines and a
checkmark in it, representing a "new" image of "Bob."

Personally, I love it. It's very clique-ish, as it represents a secret
society (us) where only the *true* SubGenii wiill recognize the logo. The
Dobbshead is everywhere, and any moron can (and does) rip it off and use it
for whatever. But the "Bob" Icon represents only one thing: SLACK.

More importantly -- especially for non-artistic types like me - the new logo
is EASY TO DRAW. It represents yet another new evolution for Church of the
SubGenius, as the Foundation enters the 21st century and updates its image --
just like those corporations who make their logos "simple" yet "easy to
recognize," so that it can be inserted ANYWHERE.

For example - the old Walt Disney Company's logo was Mickey Mouse. Now, the
logo is just three circles. Pepsi's logo is now that simple red-and-blue
yin-yang symbol. Apple's symbol is that apple. And so on.

What's more, the Foundation has ALREADY produced a series (currently very
rare) of neck medallions that you can wear, so that YOU can stand proud next
to all those other silly New Agers and religious wackos with their pentacles
and crosses and Freemasonry and Golden Dawn symbols and what have you.

But I'm going to wait for the Foundation to post the logo here, just to be
fair.

As I'm sure you and your lovely wife will appreciate, Jesus has a detailed
explanation of the symbology of the "Bob" Icon, laced with bullshit in the
proper kook manner to provide meaning to every stroke. He is well aware that
the sign of the Cross is in there (one of the most powerful symbols in the
history of civilization, even before Christianity stole it), and as he was
explaining the icon he used a Dobbshead with the new symbol laid over it. The
first line intersects "Bob's" eyes, and as someone in the audience said, it
can be seen as a target scope -- perfect for killing "Bob." The second line
is his nose, and the third is his mouth. And of course, the Pipe.

You do realise that there may very well be
ramifications from the Temple of Psychick
Youth and Psychic TV from this new logo.

Minus the pipe, it's the exact same.

'Course, that may not stop me from getting
it permanently inked on my skin as I've
been considering just the plain old TOPY
Psychic Cross for a while.

Modemac's rendition is pretty good. But I prefer drawing the stem at a
perfect 45 angle until it lines up with the bottom of the icon. What
can I say I perfer a longer stem on my "Bob".

So the left side of the Mouth (that's what it is, after all) forms an
equilateral triangle with the Pipe? Now that would have *some* kind of
significance, no doubt. I'm not sure exactly what signifcance, but we can add
some deep bullshit explanation eventually.

I don't know who either of those are so they must have stole it from
us!!!
Actually if their symbol is just the three layer cross, they'll have to
answer to the Templars, the Bizatines and about 30 other sects and cults
that used it before them. But that's the whole point it IS a cultic
symbol worthy of any fanatic, world domination, cult. Goebbels would be
proud

I'm not sure of the legality of that.

That would be like taking the Microsoft Windows
logo, tacking on an extra quarter or two, and
then changing the colors. I'm not absolutely sure
what copyright law has to say about it, though I'm
sure that some form of dialogue can be created
between Genesis P-Orridge and the Father Church
if there's a lawsuit.

Remember, it's only illegal if you get caught.

True enough.

The PTV cross has been in use since 1981, I believe.
Though, I'm not sure if it's been registered as a copyright,
and even then, it may not have been registered as one
in the United States. So, maybe a little legal footwork is
appropriate here, but again, unless anyone sues, which is
unlikely, then there shouldn't be a problem. :)
