INSANE SCENES in QUICKTIME SWIVEL-VISION

We are NUTS about this technique!
The following are QTVR files. You click on the title to download, via FTP, an .MOV file that will run on your friendly neighborhood QTVRPlayer and/or most new web browsers, displaying the fraudulent Brycean landscapes of Stang's twisted nightmares in 360 degrees -- as if you were a camera on a tripod, panning around and up and down, zooming in, etc. Startlingly enough, the QTVR files are small -- 158 k or less. Technically, these are of the file type SNM ('single node movie'), but they also work as MOVs, and browsers seem to handle them better when they're named that way.
Netscape 3.0 and the new Explorer can utilize the QuickTime plug-in to let you view these files directly, here and now, without changing programs. Click on the main title version of each scene, and if you have the plug-in you'll soon be swiveling your way around the picture by clicking and dragging on it. (Control and Command make it zoom in and out.)
If you can't run those newer browsers, just download one of the compressed versions of the scene and view it later in QTVR Player. PC users will probably want the Zipped (.zip) version; Mac users can go for the Stuffed (.sit) version. Compressed versions are 145k or less. Not much smaller than the uncompressed originals, but some folks have better luck with the crunched versions.

For those lacking QTVR, we also provide widescreen panoramic JPEG versions (only 82 k) -- you may like these better, anyway. They're "static," but much higher-res, and they work in any browser or graphics viewer. We recommend viewing them at their normal 100 percent size, not squished down into a little horizontal bar to fit your screen... as you scroll back and forth to see the whole scene, it's a fair approximation of the QTVR effect.

Herein we learn where the Cooties are headed. I, Stang made a serious mistake in the camera settings before rendering this -- the camera was tilted just slightly upwards -- and that accident introduced a distortion which greatly improves on what I had in mind originally. Makes everything look sort of UPHILL. There's so much bug porn in this one that it slowed Bryce to a crawl. Saucers by Funway, as always.
