Imagine you have a big brother who is, naturally, more priviledged than
you. He's more skilled at everything, gets more allowance, more freedom,
more of everything. You can console yourself that your turn will come, but
it's painful to watch him and difficult to be patient. At the same time
that you hate him, you admire him and want to emulate him. You want to
become a version of him, but you also despise his weaknesses and are
determined to be distinguish yourself as a separate person. Sometimes he's
your friend and protector, but at other times he is cruel and says horrible
things about little brothers in general and maybe even you in particular.
Once in a while he beats up your friends, sometimes he gives presents to
your enemies. Right now, he's bleeding and looking your way.

Ain't if neat to be the Middle East?

The news is telling me to buy a flag, buy some stock in flag making and by
all means, keep watching for more. I thought I'd stop in here instead.
