Know what? In order to get my mind ready for another
Pink workday, I
was watching CNN Tuesday morning, from the minute the
first smoke curled
off the first tower. Glad I was home, cuz I got a chance
to fill up my
tank at acceptable prices, and scoop my poor kid out
of his little
school, hours before price gouging materialized in my
fine city.
I didn't stop throwing up until last night. So much
adrenaline that
excremeditation did not occur for about 48 hours after
the event,
either. Then yesterday, I get to my Pink Parking Garage
in an unnamed
Ohio city on the shores of an unnamed Great Lake. A
huge crowd began
streaming out of the neighboring buildings, followed
quickly by the
fastest mobilization of valet parked SUVs I'd ever seen.
A bomb scare. I was in a bomb scare. It's tough to
discount things
like that nowadays. I high tailed it to an unnamed
location near our
unnamed Chinatown which was the closest unnamed region
of possible
safety. And threw up a couple more times.
Well, let me just say that I'm sitting at home here,
stiffening my
resolve. I assure you, make no mistake about it, time
will tell and
soon you will have been witness to my finest hour.
Now that I'm not
throwing up any more, I'm going to be telephoning others
to build a
broad, international base of support. Make no mistake
about it! (gee,
did I say that already?). This will all come to pass
in a way of my
choosing, at an hour of my choosing.
Make no mistake about that, either. But for obvious
security reasons, I
cannot answer your questions. In closing, I caution
you to make no
mistake about that. And I will not discuss specifics
in broad terms.
To quote the president (Jack Nicholson) in Mars Attacks,
I'm sure that
"very soon, this will reach a very real outcome".
Make no mistake about
that. In the future, as you look back, you will realize
exactly what
that outcome might be.
Well, folks, I've got a job to do...

Why not have an adoption agency set up a desk in front
of the abortion
clinic, and as soon as the protesters show up, they
can say "Wonderful!
You like saving children? We've got LOTS of children
you can take care
of!"

I can't tell you how glad I am to know that your safety
has been assured. I hope that you will use the recent
events as an opportunity to empower your power base,
and resolve to be resolute in your newfound resolve.
We can hear you, and no doubt you can hear us as well,
and soon, in the coming days -- which no doubt will
be
coming soon -- the world will hear you as well as us
as
well. And when that day comes, those who knocked down
those buildings will hear you as well as us as well
as
the world as well. And I am confident that then we
will all hear each other.
One question: Did you "evacuate" during the bomb scare?

Yeah, all he needs is a coffee can fulla crank, a fruit
spoon and some
guns and he'll be ready to go.

I'm afraid that, in the light of recent events, I can
neither confirm
nor deny what course of action my bowels took, nor indeed,
suggest in
any way that any sort of action may or may not have
occurred in the
region of my bowels, or for that matter, in any other
region, excretory
or secretory.
Next question?
