The purpose of the Project is to set up large-scale WWW-based experiments
to investigate the anomalous effect known as retro- (or reverse-time)
psychokinesis. Very briefly, this involves the ability of the human
mind to influence random events which occured *in the past* (as opposed
to `standard' psychokinesis which involves influencing events as they
occur).

Much work has been done on this effect over the last twenty
years or so by researchers such as Helmut Schmidt (psischmidt@aol.com),
Roger Nelson of PEARlab at Princeton (rdnelson@princeton.edu), Dean
Radin (formerly of Bell Labs...dradin@nevada.edu), as well as secret
(until last winter) US Government sponsored research (contact
may@lfr.org for more information. The actual reports are available
on the Web.). Using statistical `meta-analysis' methods it has been
established by those involved that this effect is real.

The implications for physics (violation of causality, relativity,
quantum theory) are profound to say the least, and varying interpretations
abound. However, to those outside the field, it has remained little
more than an obscure matter of parapsychological controversy. The
emergence of the WWW together with the `retro-causal' nature of the
effect have created a possibility whereby retropsychokinesis abilities
can be tested for remotely (free of any possible fraud) and evidence
of such abilities, if found, can be experienced directly by anyone who
cares to look.
