No, on second thought, let's both just blame Dobbs. Praise Dobbs for him
being there to take the MAIN blame.
Man, what a "trip" this has been, discovering a whole new cavern in the
SubGenius abyss, that had been there for years, and actually, FOR ONCE,
learning its origins! Of course, now that the history is becoming clear,
we must proceed to muddy the waters by releasing ALMOST equally plausible
alternate histories and mythologies.
I would be curious as to what you think of alt.slack now, what kind of
changes and evolution you've seen (if you've even paid much attention to
it since them Old Days), etc... I've been told it's shifted gears
considerably in the last few months, since a bunch of us old-timer
SubGenius cosubfounders finally got up and running... I was sort of
horrified when I first gazed upon it, but that was partly because I didn't
understand what "crossposting" and "cascades" were. Well, you can imagine.
Thanks a million for enlightening me to this critical detail in the
history. You were like the spore that started the fungus growing. I'm sure
most of the Net users would like to KILL YOU if they knew. Well, fuck 'em
if they can't take a joke.
We hope to make you proud of continued HIGH CLASS OFFENSIVENESS that
befits a secret priesthood of this august nature. The Web with its
art-display capabilities is, of course, just what we've been waiting for
without knowing it.
