I think I owe apologies and explanation to craigim@garnet.berkeley.edu
My original post did not intend to claim that the Irish are the only Celts; I know better than that...
My point was that that the Irish are the only European declared to have part-African ancestry by two eminent scholars (Quinn and Ali). Ergo, Irish artists should not be condemned as DWEMs and deserve continued study in our universities. They are not DWEMs but DAEMs (Dead Afro-European Males) and hence partially respectable.
Quinn suggests that the Welsh are part African, too (Ali never looked into this), but I fear the Scots seem purely European and hence must remain under a cloud until the P.C. Dogma ceases to govern Academia. Scots artists, like those on the continent, are all white and mostly male and in the present racist/sexist climate, they can't hope to be taken seriously. Sorry.
I personally would like to see all racism and sexism removed and artists judged on their merits, but that doesn't seem likely in this nation in the immediate future.

True, but the Irish remain as probably the least watered down Celts around. And remember folks, the Celts were bloodthirsty, warlike barbarians that still managed to create a culture of poetry and music while conquering all of Europe!

Besides, I still have trouble taking men in drag seriously. Actually, I have trouble taking men in drag at all. Sorry, but I'm a flaming heterosexual. And I don't care if eating haggis sounds manly and/or cool. It's still stupid and disgusting. Yeah, that's just my opinion, but fuck, this is my message! Piss off!

Ah, but you forget my friend, this nation will cease to exist as we know it in just a few years. Once our Xist "friends" arrive. Or so CoSub would have us believe.
And don't forget, "Bob"'s mother was Irish. All those with Celtic blood in their veins should be proud, and should get extra benefits from the Foundation.
