I can only speak for myself, but my X-day has been rather uneventful
No saucers
No floating heads of Dobbs
No Pipes of Doom
No Rupture
What the dilly yo, Stang?

Something tells me you weren't at Brushwood. There were no saucers, no
floating Heads of Dobbs, and no Rupture. So what did we get instead?
Lots and lots of naked Yeti of both genders
Ranting for days on end til guts bled
Swimming pool baptisms and hot tubs
Frappy, lots of frappy (however you define it)
The Battle of Armageddon
Anti-music galore
Much, much, MUCH more
Boo hoo hoo, there wasn't no Rapture, so I guess it just wasn't worth it
to go down to Brushwood and party naked for four days straight.
Or maybe some people have trouble understanding what's more IMPORTANT!

Maybe when the Discordians get off their asses and actually DO SOMETHING
in the name of their religion instead of making in-jokes and
fanboy-worship of Robert Anton Wilson, THEN I'll consider joining them.
And you won't see me tearing up my SubGenius membership card, either.
Heck, who knows...what if the saucers come NEXT YEAR?!?
