Rev. Illya van Staangj on a windswept Nederlandian street. What's not clear in most of our photos is the bizarre leaning, swayying, sagging and even TWISTING of the individual buildings. Working together with the slowly sinking pilings beneath them for HUNDREDS of years, the bricks comprising each entire building gradually slide against each other, creating various types of distortion, until they resemble nothing so much as a PHOTO of a building, twisted about 30 percent with Photoshop "DISTORT" filters. That, combined with the fact that many buildings were deliberately built with a drunken-looking OVERHANG, lends the city a "DR. SEUSS ON LSD" look.
