It just occurred to me that the Crusaders were defeated by the army of Islam under Salah-ad-din at the Horns of Hattin on July 4th, 1187. That means that the sufis were whacking the heads off the surviving Knights Templar on July 5th.

That's funny, it just occurred to me that July 5 was Sylvester Graham's
birthday -- the inventor of Graham cracker -- and I ate a Graham
cracker on July 5! Weird, huh?
