Today is February 3rd. It happens every year about
this time in our
Kitchen. It is that first brief whif of what XDay will
smell like this
year. Pots steam, levers crank and machines whir in
a flurry of creation
that will eventually find its penultimate resting place,
stacked neatly in
our freezer. This years unnamed and unknowable fermented
brew is now being
prepped in hopes that it will entice G. Gordon Gordon
out of his rocking
chair and back to Brushwood. Our kitchen becomes scattered
with pages
culled from several rare and forbidden archaic manuscripts
of forbidden
cooking grimoires (circles are drawn, candles are lit
and the words of
creation are spoken).
Our kitchen today is the chaotic moment that sets in
motion a series of
events culminating in an outcome that is five months
and 500 miles away.
Spring has arrived today by the sheer force of mine
and St. Joyces superior
Slack. Groundhog is on the menu.

G. Gordon Gordon is my favorite!!! If he ever comes
back to
brushwood, I will follow him around and write down everything
he says.
I'm pretty sure that first "G" stands for Grimoire.
Freezing Xday chow in advance is a great thought. Last
year I spent
all night on June 30th plucking dead fish from my aquarium
and heating
my kitchen up to a thousand degrees in the preparation
of many, many
balls of meat for my last meal before the saucers come.

I will work on GGG. If he knows you guys are coming,
he might go for
it. Last couple of years he's been working on his new
mansion during
the summers.
It's gonna be a crowded iVan this year if he does make
it... 'cause I
promised a whole mess of Britishers that I'd get them
from the airport
to Brushwood too.
Somebody better think about tea and crumpets.
I have to start making the List of Things for The Slaves
Instead of Me
to Do at X-Day. But just the list alone is like a whole
day's work! If
I spare a day from my Secret Project, chances are the
brain will die
and I'll have to send out for a whole new one.

If it works out and we are available, we'd be happy
to pick up the Brits.
At the very least they can be set down near our camp
and they won't need
to worry about bringing in too many supplies.

1. Pick up some British folks at the airport for Stang.
2. Unload iVan and cart shit to stage area.
3. Help assemble stage with props, audio and video
equipment.
4. ?
5. PROFIT!
