12-7-96 UPDATE: As you may notice we've been busy, sorting and re-sorting, trying to knock some sense into THE PLAN. It move, it moves, albeit slowly. The tunnels around here have been expanding at a cancerous rate, leaving a network under Dobbstown reminiciant of a Parisian catacomb or a piece of termite-rotten flooring. The constant danger of collapse and flooding is demoralizing the help, and so a concerted effort is being drawn up to improve conditions. The blasting of new access between tunnels 6 and 7 is only the beginning. Any comments or ill-gotten swag can be sent to me, the Reverend Morvus Thenu. I'll be working on it. |
With new shafts being put through daily, we're rearranging
everything in ALL of the Art Mines tunnels into different sectors according
to artist,

but must needs reside in its own cordoned-off, safeguarded chamber so that
no child under 21 ever sees the word, "sex."

I'll be the first to admit that I can't draw for hooey, I have no college degree, and I'm an amateur regarding computers in general. But my original artsful self-schooling was in Harryhausenian stop-motion film animation, which involves building little sets and monsters and animating them. Because of the snag I ran into regarding metal ball-and-socket jointed skeletons, I reverted to claymation, and then dropped that whole ball entirely. HOWEVER... as one can see from SubSITE in general, computer graphics programs have become so streamlined that even lowtechoids, piss-a-beds and ne'erdowells can "virtually" sculpt and light little sets and monsters. Most of us are still a long way from fully implementing the INCREDIBLE GADGETS that have been placed at our disposal, but we're ON it. FULL MOTION ANIMATION for US CHEAPSKATES comes next. But let's not jump the gun...RESCUE
