This sounds like a troll. Well, just look at economics through a
class-struggle viewer. The wealthy struggle to retain their wealth
and the upper-middle class stuggles to become wealthy. What's going
on is that a small fraction, say five percent, of the population
will end up in control of, say seventy-five percent of the nation's
resources. Bill Gates wants to retain control of the software
writing business. He doesn't want the government or his employee's
taking that position from him in the form of taxes or wage demands.
Bill Gates is wealthy.
Now then, who is the upper-middle class? Those are the doctors,
and lawyers and small business owners who have a really nice
income stream. We're talking OVER $100,000 a year now. They're
the "petit-bourgeoisie" who aspire to become wealthly like a
Bill Gates, H. Ross Perot, Ted Kennedy, etc.
Then follows the middle-middle class and the lower-middle class
and the poor. These people are societie's cord wood. The wealthy
classes manipulate the un-wealthy classes either by force or
through advertising, religion, patriotism, or any other form of
brain-washing to accept their position in society as un-wealthy
people.
Bill Gates spends a LOT of money so that you won't HATE HIM
or THINK HE'S GREEDY.
Remember, the "WORK ETHIC" is a capitalist idea that was invented
so that the wealthy DON'T HAVE TO WORK. You people don't understand
what it really means to be wealthy enough that YOU DON'T HAVE TO
WORK. If you spent a little bit of time watching someone clip
coupons from a TAX-FREE muncipal bond, then you'd know what it
means to NOT HAVE TO WORK. If you people spent a little time
watching someone go out to the mail box, scoop up a hand full
of DIVIDEND checks, then you'd know what it means to NOT HAVE TO
WORK.
Well, in a society where everyone *HAS* to work, there are no
WEALTHY people. In a society where everyone has to work just
as hard as the next guy, then you get a CLASSLESS society.
Don't you see that the Federal Reserve is trying to maintain
the CLASS DISTINCTIONS in our society? Bill Gates wants to
spend a lot of time on his sail boat or the golf course or
in Southern France or what ever else HE WANTS TO DO.
MAYBE BILL GATES *E*N*J*O*Y*S* going to the office and watching
other people sweat. And be CATTERED TO by UNDERLINGS. Note
that word: UNDERLING UNDERLING UNDERLING UNDERLING. *That*'s*
a CLASS-DISTINCTION word.
So the Federal Reserve tilts society ever so often so that the
poor and the lower-middle-class and the middle-middles-class
will BE FORCED to remain where they are and WORK so THE WEALTHY
WON'T HAVE TO WORK.
It's that easy. Shut up and pay your bills. Cash only.

"Claims", yes. Bear in mind that there are no signs of inflation, so
any action on the FR's part is just for their own comfort. It's like
culling a herd that is already dying out ...

Agreed. So maybe, at worst, a box of macaroni and cheese will cost
a few cents more on the dollar. Well, that's a lot easier to cope
with than not having any money at all for food!

Indeed, when big business talks about inflation, they are sometimes talking
about an increase in how much workers cost as opposed to how much products
cost. It's all the same to business ...

And the media convinces the general populace that Clinton is raising
their taxes, when in fact he has consistently DROPPED taxes for 99%
of the people over the past few years. (True, Clinton has instituted
the largest tax increase in history ... but it hits only the RICH. Funny
how the papers leave out that last little bit of disclaimer ...) And
Clinton's guys have allegedly convinced the FR not to raise interest rates,
on the grounds that "the economy is slowing down on its own". So when the
Republicans accuse Clinton of that old "tax and spend" mentality, it's
just more proof that they'll lie, cheat, whatever it takes to get back
in power. Forgive me for sounding at all partisan, but the Republicans
are just plain evil.
