You've been sick: you got better. Your subconscious
knows that this is how
that usually works.
You've never been nuked. It's fear of the unknown.
Also, there are cures for most diseases. There's no
cure for being
vaporized. Your subconscious knows that, too.
Glad I could help.

Look at it this way -- if you actually get nuked directly,
it doesn't hurt a
bit, it's over before you know it, so it actually may
be one of the best
ways to die - no long, drawn out suffering, or even
any fear or regrets,
just blip! yer dead! And, if you don't actually get
nuked, but just get in
the way of the cloud of radiation, then you'll just
get the symptoms of a
strange plague, which you're not scared of!

You are far more likely to be run over by drunken poor
white
trash in an old Honda Civic than either nukes or anthrax.
Or for that matter, more likley to die from E. Coli
poisoning at the local burger joint.
So, don't panic. And if you see some panicky politician
panicking and telling you "Don't panic!",
slap him silly telling
him, "Snap out of it! Don't get panicky and hysterical!"
Slap! Slap! Slap!
Its your duty as a Subgenius-American.
