The Old Guard boots Bush, in a very rational, succinct and damning

Holy shit, that's the local weekly from Crawford, Texas! Poor George
must feel so betrayed: his "hometown" rag turned on him.
Maybe if he actually had REALLY lived there at some point, instead of
just building a 1500+ acre dude ranch seven miles outside of town to
"cowboy up" his image right before starting the campaign in 1999.
I like where they talk about the Iconoclast's original publisher,
William Cowper Brann: "While the editors of the new Iconoclast do not
pretend to agree with Brann's stand on various issues, especially where
religion and race is concerned, the tone of his ponderings can find
themselves useful in unraveling modern-age institutions that live and
prosper at the supreme disadvantage of common citizens."
Brann was "also noted for his virulently racist views, writing
approvingly of horrific murders of black citizens," but you'll have to
do some Googling to read about that.
Texas: it's like a whole other country!

I say we cut Texas loose and make DC a state all on the same day. That
way we don't have to redo the flag again.

Well, there's a few who say Texas never was a state,
and always has been an independent Republic!

Check out this rather chilling follow-up to the Kerry endorsement:

The next time someone tells me I am being too touchy, I'm gonna send
them to this link and say FUCK THEM HARD & DRY IN THE POOPER IF THEY
CAN'T TAKE A DISCOURSE. Jeez, the best thing about watching the world
go CRAZIER is realizing that I'm not nearly as far gone as I sometimes
think, pils or not.
Of course, it also targets me as food for decerebrate goat-herders.
Ah, Texas: its like a whole other PLANET.... you wish. The eyes of
Texas are upon you, through their gun sights. Too bad its not limited
to Texas at ALL, nope, uh uh....
