I don't know about yard signs, I've seen a lot of Bush bumper
stickers.

Where I work, which is like a mini-Berkeley or a psuedo-Madison,
everybody so takes it for granted that everyone else in the whole world
hates Bush, that most of them probably won't even bother to go out and
vote, and when Bush wins, they'll be CERTAIN it was rigged. Where I
work, SubGeniusLand, conservatives are so rare that I feel I have to
NURTURE them just to keep the species from going extinct.

On the other hand, where my wife works, which has 40,000 times as many
employees as where I work, they're Bush all the way, and all wear
little American Flags on their lapels to show that they want to GET
those Iraqis for what they did to us on Sept. 11. To those people, a
Kerry supporter is an art bum in Austin or Madison or Portland who sits
aroud smoking dope all day talking about how Bush is exactly like
Hitler, and that since the elections are all rigged, there's no point
in voting or fighting the con in ANY fashion. And they're probably
right. The Bush supporters, that is, about the Kerry supporters being
too tragically hip to actually DO anything but whine shrilly.

PROVE ME AND THE BUSHIES WRONG.

I said in another thread somewhere that riding around the neighborhoods
I do see some rare Bush signs, sometimes accompanied by "ONE MAN ONE
WOMAN YES ON 36" signs, almost always in yards which show unmistakeable
signs in their residents of either; old age and fetishistic dedication
to maintaining a perfectly rectilinear environment (FLAT AND SQUARE)
or; utter slovenliness in every respect including breeding practices and
automobile maintenance. I see pro-Bush stickers on cars somewhat more
frequently, and may have seen exactly ONE anti-kerry sticker, but on the
whole, the vast majority of indicators are in favor of Kerry and liberal
causes, or brutally sarcastically against Bush/Cheney. MORE PROOF
LIBERALS HATE FREEDOM, especially here in Freedom Hating Oregon.

Now it's a well known fact around these parts that if you stick out a Bush
yard sign someone will steal it and egg your house.

Thus, you have to go down the street and count each car/house without a Bush
sticker or a Kerry sticker and compute the ratio yourself.

A guy in my condo has, slapped on the ass of his Jetta, a Kerry Edwards
sticker, and on the other side I think it reads Bush Cheney, in HEBREW.

I want a sign that says Kerry Edwards in ARABIC. Soon enough after they
win, though, I'm sure we'll all be reading Arabic just fine through our one
eye with our left hand to hold the book after the ragheads claim this
country in the name of Allah. Well, the MEN anyhow...

Well its becuase you live in the one few areas of Texass that is actually
living in the 21st Century.

Here in Delaware, I se plenty of Bush/Chney signs & stickers. Including on cars
passing through from NJ, MD and PA.

But as you might expect, the Bush stickes tend to be on the more upscale cars.

Although I see a large portion of Kerry Stickers on the smaller SUV's while the
larger ones tend to have Bush ones.

As for Pickups, Its a toss. The ones with Union Stickers are almost 100% Kerry.
The ones with the NRA stickers are of course 100% Bush.

And the one with the Dobhshead Stickers has a "Act like a dumbshit..." sticker
on his.

There's one in a yard across the street from me (Wichita, KS), also with a
"Todd Tiahrt" sign. Todd is our our Representative to Congress and a
Republican toady. He keeps getting re-elected, which says a lot about this
state.

As for bumper stickers, now, I live a block from a major Babtist church
complex with a great, big cross on one of the buildings; this has been
nicknamed "Six Flags Over Jesus" in a newspaper that will never be read by
any member of the congregation. The parking lot is full of high-end cars of
a Sunday morning and there are *lots* and *lots* of Bush/Cheney bumper
stickers, along with the usual "God Hates - Excuse me, I mean, God Loves
Fags and Evolutionists" stickers.

Somebody recently wrote in to the local newspaper about people tearing one
Kerry sticker off of his bumper and following him very, very closely after
he put a second one on. That's Kansas for you.

Several years ago someone was selling round stickers with a picture of a
screw on it, which could transform the trendy "I love my dog" bumper
stickers into "I screw my dog".

I wonder how long it would take the average person to realize that
they're flying "Screw Bush" on the back of their car?...

Took a trip this weekend down to the Columbus area for a Linux Fest put
on by the local geekery. Traveled through Delaware, OH off the main
drag to make a quick jog east to pick up I-71 from US-23 because US-23
south of Delaware is a nightmare of shopping strip malls and excessive
numbers of traffic lights.

Anyway, I was truly disturbed by the number of Bush signs. Seemed every
other house had a set of Bush signs out front. Thankfully, the closer
we got to the center of town, the more Kerry signs and bumper stickers
that showed up.

I know I stirred the shit with my Dobbshead and Linux bumper stickers,
though.

I got some bushes in a hedge by the sidewalk. Bums walk up and piss on
'em most nights, and the cops won't do nothing about it.

Are those the Bush signs you're talking about?
