I used to abalone dive with a Hawaiian who said that there
are only 2,000 pure Hawaiians left, he's convinced that their
race will die out.
But the name for Gay Head is Aquinnah. Maybe there are no
hets to be breeders, so it's a lost cause, anyway.
I think that the Beothuk tribe was hunted to extinction,
they usually didn't fight back.
