I was just there, and saw it opening night. It sucked, tho. I mean how
many times can you watch the same 5 moves over and over. Backwards,
sideways, sideways the other way, kneeling, rearing. Plus they were all
wanna be players, like the second string or something. Not as
professional as the original.
It was opening night and Bill Shatner was there. I met the couple who
were sitting next to him! She said she rubbed shoulders with him the
whole time, so I rubbed her shoulder, too. Secondary Kirk contact!
Whoo-hoo! He just glared when I saluted him and said, "Captain..."
Should I have said "Denny Crane"?
Rod "the Mod" was there, too; he left quickly, tho. So was Jon Favreau
and another actress I don't know the name of.
Pity it sucked so hard, tho.

Aw hell, I knew it sucked when I saw the first press release, so
instead, I spent the money on a copy of the director's cut of the
"Dawn of the Dead" remake and a big jar of Mama Graballsi's Pasta
Sauce with peyote bits.
The only thing I want to see William Shatner in is a big block of
lucite.
I've wrestled with reality for 35 years, Doctor
and I'm happy to state I finally won out over it.

Bill wasn't IN it, he was in the audience watching it! Sorry for the
confusion. Boston Legal rocks! He's great as "Denny Crane". He was good
in "Free Enterprise" playing himself, but as a loser with a dream to
star in a Shakespeare play. A one-man Shakespeare play. "Well, [he]
can't play Calpurnia."

I still stand by my original statement. His finest moment was when he
was MELTING at the end of "Devil's Rain."
