Who Needs Drugs with Shit like this Going On?

Caroliner, a very strange and interesting band, claims to be
named after a singing bull from the 1800's that was slaughtered
by its owner when times were tough. They say that they have in
their possession the "Songbook of the Singing Bull," from which
they draw their music, in an attempt to preserve the memory and
history of the singing bull, Caroliner. The music seems to answer
the musical question,
"What kind of music would the Donner Party make if they
were to meet the Residents... And then EAT the Residents?"
The music itself is very strange and surreal indeed; a bizarre
cross between Residents-like surrealism and Great Planes Pioneer
Hoe Down Jigs, but their stage show must take things to a whole
new level of weirdness. I've only seen the photographs but can
say that the sets are festooned with black-light painted props and
bunting, and they wear black-light painted costumes, incorporating
elements of Pioneer fashion, among other things such as dangling
whithered prosthetic limbs, all under black-light lighting. Upon
looking at the photos, I find myself hoping that they dance around
a lot. Extremely saturated colors.
Check these guys out if you don't have anything better to do:

Have a listen to the sample tracks there, too.

Maybe that wonderful old hymn,
"Shall We Desiccate the Liver? The Vitamin-Rich and Tastey Liver!"
