Do you just open the mpegs in Toast and burn a VCD or SVCD? Or could
you just post a CD image?

I doubt that I can get it through that web-based application listed
somewhere, that archive page, you know the one. Ugh, I have to get up
off my ass and call my ISP, Google Groups grows stale...

Yeah, it's an ass-getting-off-of thing.
My question really should have been, who's not getting that newsgroup
that WANTS it and CAN DO ANYTHING WITH IT. Personally I don't see how
people can live without a broadband pipe to all of Usenet.
I finished posting the humongous 2-CD set mpeg2 SVCD version of ARISE!
last night. It takes the machine all night long to upload one CD's
worth. I'm working on some transfering new stuff to digital
Internet-video. And some real old stuff.
I am somewhat hobbled because despite numerous revisions and
replacements in my system I still have sudden crashes while
transfering. And the format conversions take all fucking night too. The
credit cards that I started paying off are now begining to GLOW with an
unwholesome light again.
Even with the crashes though it is FUN AS HELL!! It's like I won the
Willy Wonka Gold Ticket with free candy for life. That's what today's
video software is like. In my case the hardware could use a little more
hardening, but even in Candyland you have to shit sometimes.

it's more of a typing-your-credit-card-number-into-some-strange-webform
thing. i found a trial-free-sort-of site that lets you grab something
ridiculous like 5 megabytes a day from binaries groups. of course, they
want cash.
bwagh.
