One of alt.slack's pet dumbasses was griping the other day about not
getting any attention from Mighty Nenslo, even though it has not been so
long ago that the same stupid jerk was griping about GETTING attention
from same said person i.e. me; and this jackass bastard was saying that
in his stupid opinion my not continually feeding him straight lines or
handing him brickbats with which to smack himself in the ugly face was
"not a very fair way to win a fight." That right there is what I mean
by dumbass.
When you misspeak or make an error, and someone who knows more than you
do corrects you, that is not "a fight." When, after being corrected by
someone who knows more than you do or who points out clear indications
that you have made a basic factual error, you have a FIT and go into a
TIZZY and get all UPRIGHTEOUS about how wrong it is for anyone to tell
you that your errors actually are errors and to cruelly point out
authoritative sources which clearly demonstrate that you are simply and
obviously mistaken and wrong, that is not "a fight" either. When, after
publicly humiliating yourself in such a manner, multiplying your error
by denying or discounting the demonstrable facts of the matter, someone
tersely and accurately describes your behavior as infantile, moronic,
and an embarrassment to all thinking creatures, that is not "a fight" either.

Drill '98. Just in case. I got my Memb Pack in two weeks and didn't
even have to endorse the check myself. It was rubber-stampoed with my
signature.
