Stanley Steel Toe Sneakers

I just bought some sneakers by Stanley, the maker of the famous
"steel toe" boots. And the kicker is: these sneakers have steel toes.
No kidding. Presumably these shoes are for those construction and oil
rig workers who want to head right from work to the bar and/or club,
and find that chicks dig guys in sneakers instead of work boots.
I bought 'em at Payless for $35, minus the $5 discount they're giving
to everyone who spends $25 or more. That's their current special.
Actually, they're not as comfortable as Reeboks or other sneakers.
BUT, they're not bad. Better than my previous pair, which was all
blown out. I've got lots of toe room. My sole feels pretty good, too.
It's just not quite like walking on cushiony air, which I admit is a
very nice feeling when you wear Reeboks. It beats paying $150 for a
pair of sneakers.

They are used alot by factory workers who do not need the full
protection of a outdoors boot, but still need a steel toe for safety.
As one who has worked on hard concrete floors for hours on end, regular
sfatey boots/shoes can leave ones feet hurting as well as ones back.
