Sleek and shining bacon!

--------
How I miss it, how I pine
Smell so luscious, taste divine
my sleek and shining bacon

My wife, you see, with no holds barred
Has just announced a war on lard.
We're not to buy, or eat or shit
A single piddling piece of it.

"How can we live?" I cry "Alack!"
"without the meat from piggies back?"
But she is firm in her blockade,
There will no cassoulet be made
Nor quiche Lorraine, nor ham and eggs
Not even porc pâté

How I miss it, how I pine
Smell so luscious, taste divine
my sleek and shining bacon

As a practicing vegetarian it is an important, even vital, part of my
practice to have bacon once a year. DAMMIT! I think I missed last
year. HOLY CRAP, I also forgot to have a beer for the last TWO years.
OH HELL!!! I can't even REMEMBER getting laid, EVER. Now you see why I
long for the peace of the grave, all this self-torment. Hey, GOOD POME
THOUGH. I'm going to go make a picnic lunch now and ride downtown to
the art supply store and then have lunch by the river. BYE.

Too late. I am already back. It was pretty nice - one of those days
the TV weather girls call GORjuss, jist a GORjiss day out there, a
TEN!!! which to me is about a six, meaning not too warm but WAY too
bright, glaring and dusty. And of course way too many people. I needed
some .5mm 2H leads and a good nine mile bike ride, and that's what I
got.
