Force without reason, an atavistic worshipping of raw power, is standard
operating procedure with law enforcement these days. The people seem to
be okay with this, as they are now thoroughly conditioned through fear
to support unhinged cop behavior. The following is but a mild example:
"Officer disciplined for stopping doctor on way to birth"
"FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida (AP) -- A police officer who stopped a doctor
for speeding on his way to deliver a baby, and then took him to the
maternity ward in handcuffs, has agreed to an unpaid suspension for lack
of judgment."

Judgement? Who needs judgement? That's for liberal pansies! We're in
Eternal War, don't you know. We need action! Stpuid "doctor." Lucky he
wasn't TASERED for GREAT JUSTICE.
It is my opinion that the United States of America is in the Wile E.
Coyote Zone. You know, that point of suspension just after going off a
cliff, and just before gravity decides to take effect. And too late to
do anything about it except to mutter oh sh1t.

Was just watching the sbs evening news - oz version of international
news - as they ended a report on how things were still a little 'tense'
in iraq the reporter mentioned how a car pulled out in front of the
leading humvee of the convoy she was in - and they machine-gunned it -
probably 50 caliber armor-piercing - killed someone in the car - the
point of this story is that there seemed no need for any justification
beyond "the gunner in the lead humvee percieved it as a threat…"
this is medieval…
this like the nazi's were supposed to be…
and _most_ americans just don't see it - not at all
Most hilarious/tragic/scary 0r shall I just say 'ironic' is that they
actually think they're the good guys. And the worse bush gets the more
he will claim he is the 'good' fighting 'evil'.

It's far worse than that. Right now the United States is in the "Wile
E. Coyote falls off cliff, lands on shelf, shelf breaks off and
plumetts onto tetter-totter rock propelling giant boulder into the air"
zone.
The coyote has already hit the ground at this point. The giant boulder,
however, is still up there and has only just turned....
