The one on the DVD is the same as the one on video except that I added
subtitles in a couple of places and I removed two of the Bozos that had
caused nothing but trouble.

What I had transfered recently was ONLY the removed stuff... about 12
minutes.

I have decided that the world has caught up with what I intended for
those removed scenes and I am gonna make a "director's cut" eventually,
but first I need to get the MAIN part of the film RE-transfered. So
that the old and older sections match better visually. One is a rinky
transfer direct from the print to digital and one is a rinky transfer
from film to 3/4" tape to VHS to digital.

It loses a lot at that VHS stage.

All tis takes time and money and I got some more immediate SubGenius
work to do first.

When I finally saw the 12 minutes that I had removed from my old film,
I could see why I had removed it, but I also deperately want to put it
back in. If I do it right, the cuts will be almost seamless... in fact
cuts that are awkward in the prsent version will be made "clean" again.

The ideal thing would be to transfer the original film negative A&B
rolls (actually it's reversal black and white) to digital and blah blah
woof woof, but, though I have those oriiginals, I have my worries about
how the 1973 hot-splices will hold up. I actually have all the parts
of all my old films still. But film labs are so expensive (and have
changed so much technologically) that I haven't even daydreamed about
getting new prints made.

If you're really super interested (and since you're a valued customer
of Bulldada Time Control Labs) I'd be happy to make you a VHS dub of
the WotF out-takes -- they also come with "The Human Animal," a 10
minute 8mm monster movie that I made with my friends and my little
brother at age 11 in 1963, the month before JFK was shot. I play the
monster of course.

Yes, I'd enjoy seeing the outtakes!

Thanks for being so fast with my last order, BTW.

I'm impressed you've managed to hold onto all this stuff. Where do you keep it all?
