23 DEVO videos in VCD-style MPEG on a.b.monter-movies
It's the Incomplete Truth About DeEvolution because
not all of the
videos are posted yet.
There are also some DEVO-related videos by Bruce Connor
and Nancye
Ferguson.
In point of fact there're tons and tons of other nifty
stuff too, like
Greaser's Palace, Repo Man, The +/-First +/-Men in the
+/-Moon, pretty much
the complete works of Jan Svankmeyer, all the SubGenius
videos
gradually, Hour of Slack 940, unusually good and rare
music videos, and
I dunno what-all. The cane toads are probably gone by
now.
Cane toads eat mice. We found a mouse on the welcome
mat of our front
porch today, completely demolished -- squashed flat
as paper, like it
had been stuck to somebody's boot, and they wiped it
off onto our
welcome mat just before entering (thank Gorbbs!).
It's a Dobbshead welcome mat, incidentally, one of a
very few that were
made and sold a few years ago. Another of those many
SubGenius products
that everybody would want five years LATER, but which
only the plucky
few bought THEN, while they actually existed and were
available. I
think they were $5. Extrapolate from that moral lesson,
and then go
look at the SubGenius catalogs again. This shit is going
to be a lot
more expensive on Ebay later... and, I KEEP TELLING
YOU, it might not
be around forever. Last month a guy bought out ALL of
the 7-Bladed
Windbreakers, for instance.

Thanks very much. Brings me back to the days when I
had
the energy to watch TV. Its amazing the varied types
of
people who still remember enjoying DEVO in their hay-day.
Everyone from old finger-wagging librarians to hardcore
classic rockers to Elvis fanatics. Somehow DEVO
managed to cut through the lines of division. I don't
think I ever met anyone who was aware of DEVO who didn't
like them, except for maybe Tony Randal, but then again
I
never met him, so.
