You think Star Trek fanatics are anally retentive?
They've got
nothing on furry fans. (A segment of fandom I gladly
include myself
under, though hardly to the point where it dominates
my life. I've
already got "Bob" and my wife to do that.)
The latest bit of furry insanity can be seen at a Web
comic called
PVP, starting here:
http://www.pvponline.com/archive.php3?archive=20020930
This comic, which I thought was a funny jab at a particularly
sensitive area of furry anal retentiveness, has sparked
a *huge* flame
war on the discussion board for the web comic. The
author of the
comic has already publicly thanked the large number
of furry fans who
have called him a Nazi. (*GODWIN ALERT! GODWIN ALERT!*)
If you're into watching fanboys making fools of themselves,
take a
look.
Incidentally, the large-busted mouse used in the furry
comic in
question is "Misty the Mouse," the star of
her own Web comic. (And
also one of my favorite Web comics: http://www.mistymouse.com
) The
creator of Misty also thought the comic was quite funny,
so a point
goes in his favor.
