I'm afraid one thing it's not just saying is no to drugs.

Thank you for such kind and kindly words. I know what you mean about
the original having an authentic krackpot feel to it... things were
rather intense back then. I have an even older and crazier chart that
shows the Map of Time as a giant figure 8, which I drew up at age 22 or
23 maybe, but it's on posterboard, too big to scan. It's so psycho it
gives me the creeps to look at it, because it elicits memories from
when I had a lot more brain cells, but they were a lot more tortured.
The chart was eventually turned into Page 135 of Book of the SubGenius,
the only page designed and laid out entirely by me.

There was a lot of good LSD going around North Texas in those days, and
in years prior, there had been a lot of pharmaceutical speed like
Benzadrine and Dexedrine around. You could throw 3 bennies into a
bottle of Thunderbird Wine Red Label and they'd dissolve. Talk about a
vicious circle, or a dog chasing its own tail. Thus the figure 8 nature
of unending time. Real mystical huh.

Solving the mysteries of the Universe is a young persons' game, and I
am now more into solving the mysteries of AFFORDABLE home repair.

I bought some pants that fit and it changed my whole outlook on life.

Take a picher!

Most of my drawings were in college notebooks (and my college
notebooks were mostly drawings), which I burned at the end of
every semester. No big loss.

I was lucky - wine gives me a headache and I'd always catch a cold
after doing speed, so I got bored with 'em pretty quick.

Plumbing's more complicated than the fuggin Universe - plus you *know*
when you did it wrong.
