Iraqi Soldiers Defect at Borders

As many as 17 soldiers surrender at the Kuwaiti Borders Books & Music
store. The soldiers were browsing in the music CD section of the store,
which is located on Akbar Ave. across from the Mall of Kuwaiti, after
enjoying café lattes and chocolate covered espresso beans. The soldiers,
members of the elite Republican Guard, were apparently causing some
commotion by singing along very loudly to songs they were enjoying on the
listening post headsets. The store manager, after failing to convince the
soldiers that they should desist their Britney Spears impersonations,
called mall security. Upon seeing the mall security guard in uniform, all
17 soldiers threw up their hands and surrendered. Sources report that as
the soldiers were led away, one was quoted as saying, "My body's saying
let's go, but my heart says no." The soldiers were immediately flown to
the set of American Idol.
