Since war is peace, there is renewed hope that we'll get our war
resolution through the UN so we can start the peace process. That makes
me happy, there is still hope for war! Which really is peace. I hope.
Never abandon hope. But, is too much hope better than not enough?

But bulldozing Iraq under won't be -enough- hope. It would just be a
Good Start.

There would still remain whole other NATIONS of people in the world
who, like Iraq, do not have sufficient respect for the sanctity of our
way of life, so we obviously need to crush them too in the name of
peace.

We can get the obvious villians like North Korea and China and there
would probably be only a handful of major population centers in the US
which would be nuked as a result, not all that bad when the cause is
GLOBAL PEACE FOREVER. At least by that point we would have global
thermonuclear peace, which is a pretty good start.

But of course by the time we had spread that much peace, we would have
the forces of opposition at our throats, otherwise allied countries
like France would probably freak out and we would have to demolish
them, too.

But that would hardly be TRUE PEACE, YET.

What about the war on drugs? The war on terrorism? There would still
be people who think different from how Good People do, and so there
would not yet be peace.

In order to preserve true peace we would have to declare war on
EVERYBODY AND EVERYTHING, constant and unending. Now that would be
peace.

As long as there is so much as one body still twitching, there is no
peace.
