hey -- are you the same zontar who invented the TimeSink(c)?
i noticed this sentence more than the others --
<< I do not support the choice to join the armed
forces in the same way I would
not support a kid to drive drunk or shoot up their school.
>>
-- you seem to be saying "the military commit
crimes" and you don't support
crimes, which is a comendable moral ground to hold.
It is also factual -- many
militaries throughout history have commited many crimes.
But let's say you have some kids driving drunk and killing
lots of people on
the road; or shooting up the high school --- what do
you suggest to do? let the
kids with the guns have the high school? let them buy
them faster cars and
stronger booze?

That's one answer.
"Let not him that girdeth on his harness boast
himself as he that putteth it
off."
