All email mail sent to me from 5-20 to 5-30 was LOST -- DELETED while I was on vacation during that time, due to a screw-up by my cable modem company, Adelphia.
This included ORDERS for VIDEOS, CDs, etc. from my Connivin' Ivan's online catalog, and PRE-REGISTRATIONS for X-DAY. (The regular SubGenius scatalog through CafePress -- memberships, T-shirts, etc. -- is NOT affected.)
If you ordered anything from Connivin' Ivan's, or sent email to stang@subgenius.com, between May 20 and 31, IT DIDN'T GET HERE. It didn't bounce back to you; it didn't get to anybody else; it was erased on the server. If you ordered using your credit card, you still have that money; you have NOT been charged.
So, ORDER AGAIN! or WRITE AGAIN! I have fixed the problem. I would have caught it much sooner, but as luck would have it, Adelphia's error happened just BEFORE we returned to Cleveland Heights from a 2 week visit to my parents in Texas -- during which I stayed happily off-line.
The nature of Adelphia's error? They claim to have been "testing a new spam filter" when it wrecked the mail on a server last week. Unfortunately, because I was on vacation, there was 10 days worth of my mail and orders sitting there to be destroyed.
DANG IT TO HECK!!!
I had BUSTED ASS to finish the new video, DOBBSFILM SHORTIES, and get the ad for it up in the Scatalog before I left. GREAT! Now everybody who went to the trouble of ordering it has to do so AGAIN! I only hope they DO go to the trouble.
I sincerely apologize for inconveniences caused by this screw-up. Rev. Prostata Contata had been telling me to get a more stable email account, from Yahoo or somebody. And just last Friday I heard on the news that Adelphia is going bankrupt fast. Now I see why.
This problem has nothing to do with the "subgenius.com" domain name email alias that many of you use. That still works fine for everybody. This was just ME getting shafted locally by the huge failing Con Glomerate, at just the wrong time.

Well, one of the old tried and true manifestations of Connie, anyway. The new psychedelic Connie and "Bob" goods should be hitting that site soon, also.

5X-Day is July 4-7 at Brushwood, Sherman, NY, and there's a huge spread on it (and all previous X-Day Drills) at http://www.subgenius.com -- banner link at the top of the first page. It promises to be a truly "New School" X-Day @ Brushwood, since many of the old-timers have KIDS now and plan to be Ruptured from home, but many new (SOMETIMES younger) SubGenii have gotten over their terror or poverty and are making the Countdown for the first time. That's GOOD, as X-Day Drills were starting to get almost predictable, especially regarding the final outcome. Perhaps this is the year that REALLY IS 1998!
My vow for this X-Day is to meet EVERY SUBGENIUS who arrives at Brushwood. Most X-Days, I end up meeting only the pushy ones; the nice ones I WANT to meet have been too POLITE. So I am going to better press the flesh this time, no matter what diseases are risked by either party!
You can see why I needed to go on vacation first, to store up a huge Slack-charge and prepare myself for this upcoming VX-Day. Or 5X-Day or whatever we're calling it this time.
Anyway... write and/or order! Again, OR for the first time! You MUST either do that, OR ELSE GET TOTAL SLACK YOUR OWN WAY, NOW, BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY!!!! Dobbs sold it, I smoked it, that settles it.
AGAIN -- IF YOU PURCHASED AN X-DAY REGISTRATION, VIDEOTAPE, OR AUDIO PRODUCT from SubSITE between May 20 and May 31, *WE DID NOT GET THE ORDER OR YOUR MONEY* and you must reorder again.

But I am STILL NEVER gonna carry a damn COMPUTER with me on VACATION!! I'd rather LOSE SUBGENIUS ORDERS than have the BOSS, "BOB", be able to reach me while I'm SLACKING OFF!
