I haven't been following this thread long enough to take sides or anything. I just wanted to say that it's not surprising if on a quitting-smoking newsgroup, discussions seem just a little more edgy than those on most ordinary garden-variety newsgroups. Civility is not a hallmark of newsgroups to begin with, and these poor bastards and bastresses are being lashed by merciles Tobacco Demons. It's little wonder if they seem ready to fly off the handle like murderous lunatics at the merest provocation or imagined slight. I sympathize because I am a smoker who happens not to have smoked for 5 years.

But don't you want to just KILL the ones who NEVER smoked? THEY are the ones who TRULY deserve scorn. Supercilious, condescending pricks... someday they'll pay... oh yes... WHAT?!? WHO DARES QUESTION ME? No, me miss cigarets? Nah. Don't miss 'em at all. NO problem. WHY DO YOU WANT TO KNOW?!?!? WHO SAID THAT??
