MAGDALEN!! Alliekat! Lil! Legume! Blackout! That
other guy! That
gal! That one dude and that chick!
The agitated guy that could't stop saying "nigger"!
The problem with SubGenii making lists of SubGenii is,
no matter what,
spasmodic mutation ever precludes completeness. Spasmodic
mutation, and
office politics.

Well, we could bitch and gripe about current events
or entertainment
news, but to tell the truth I've been enjoying the hell
out of this
Shower of Kooks that has been going for over a month
now. Also, when
Magdalen dragged those people from the smoking-quitters'
newsgroup over
here, I was thrilled to see that they were even NASTIER
than us, YET
UTTERLY BEREFT OF THE YUKS AND GRINS. Jesus, what is
the POINT? My
admittedly limited observation of that and other newsgroups,
primarily
binaries ones involving huge file transfers of obsessional
media and
geekish technical complexities, has made me value alt.slack
all the
more.
We get the dual benefits of some of the most hilarious
Fragmented Pinks
trying to tell *us (!)* that "Bob" is full
of shit (while peddling
their own incomprehensible home-made cult), and some
of the most
sadistic, acidic, caustically sarcastic kook-bashers
on the whole
Internet.
I'm sure there's more VINDICTIVE and PRACTICAL-MINDED
flaming and
trolling on, say, alt.conspiracies, but there's never
anything about
COOL shit like, I dunno, prairie squids, Seven-Bladed
Windbreakers, and
all like that.
The crossposted shit bothers me only when the crossposted
groups
weren't already in my kill filter. As Prostata suggested,
if you set
your doohickey to filter out anything with names like
"rec.arts" or
"rec.sports" in it, you can eliminate all
that nonsense without ever
having to see it.
I guess things have been kind of slow round-abouts,
if you're not into
the kind of sociological experimentation that uses the
fragile minds of
frustrated unfollowed would-be gurus, ignored usenet
poets, and
ineffective clairvoyants as "volleyballs."
I know what you mean about using the ng to avoid work
-- I'm doing that
very same thing, and yet my work this week is literally
to edit and
webbify alt.slack posts!
Luckily there is also alt.binaries.slack, which is often
as much fun as
The Onion. I have been slide-showing through all the
a.b.s. artwork
posted since May, to prep it one last time for a monstro
SubSITE new
art mine. That sort of thing renews one's faith in SubGenius
creativity. As it happens, a.b.s. has been kind of slow
lately,
relative to a month ago. I posted some real nasty David
Alan Coe songs
there a couple of days ago along with parts of last
week's ESO radio
show. Phineas Narco is always posting his entire bizarro
show. If you
have broadband... That audio stuff is not much use to
slow-modemites
yet. Or, possibly, to those crippled by "good"
taste.
I finally got the Borrowed Digital Video Camera borrowed
again, so I'm
planning after SubSITE fix-up to add a shitload of video
suitable for
VCD, plus I can finally finish rough-cutting the 5X-Day
stuff I shot so
the DV can be fucked-with by you and Sinphaltimus and
whoever else has
time to monkey with it. While "at work."
Now it's my turn to tediously replace the PO Box, in
a zillion little
title cards, this time on digital video. I already did
it to a zillion
SubG CD jewel case labels. God damn, I might as well
be stocking
produce at Piggly Wiggly. No wonder I keep coming back
to this stupid
newsgroup to antagonize loonies, or to watch my friends
antagonize the
ones I'm too grossed-out by to speak to.

Learn to use your message filters? My alt.slack experience
is purest
ambrosia, because I put in about a minute a week keeping
it that way.
BTW, where IS Chas. "Mark" Bee/Ouroboros
Rex/Server Thirteen anyway?
I been using my real name too long? I'd think broadcasting
HoS since
'93 would get me SOMETHING. Shuh.
Kids today.
Oh well, here. http://www.bigassmotors.com/cbook/COLORINGBOOK.htm

HEY!!!! Choose me or I'll skip April 2003 on my Beefcake calendar!!!
Well okay, maybe not. The little pink cap on that there
Balck Mamba is just
a little too tantalizing.

Last time I said anything to you you had a hissyfit.
Why don't you
try WORKING at work, or else REPENT, QUIT YOUR JOB AND
SLACK OFF like
a SubGenius. Oh you, you're one of those butteye guys
aren't you...
"Butteye have to pay my rent... butteye want to
buy an x-box...
butteye butteye butteye." You shouldn't be reading
this newsgroup at all.

Sorry, but after sparking up VaLIS for a few days prior
to 9/11, it's
bound to be downhill for the rest of the year. It *could*
have stayed up,
but the presence of predatory forces required me to
run interference while
it entered hibernation. Or something like that.
Not that the church is responsible to entertain you...

:( Lists are bad.
Alliekatt, you know you're my buttermilk AND bananas.

Ooh baby. Keep your hands on that one, it's probably
the only nekkid
picture of myself there will ever be. Black Mamba,
however, wins for
the best pet name my johnson has ever been given.
BTW, never thanked you for all those pix from XDV you
uploaded. They
were mucho entertaining.

Spasmodic mutation, and

I know. I did a "bad". Flash realization
of what it must be like for
winners at award ceremonies.

I thought this would cover me.
*ducks for cover under some whining and begging*

Guess I've been avoiding the 'ol killfile. It's getting
necessary.
Also, my office won't get us on newsgroups, so I'm forced
to use
Google. *groan* So at work, I can't visit alt.binaries.slack.

Yeah, like how about the obvious Bill Palmer imposter?

I'll have to check it out.

I WISH I could do this video stuff at work. I guess
I can, but I'd
have to coordinate the time-consuming rote tasks. Like
changing PO
Boxes....
