I'm going to be in and out of the office for the holidays, although Princess Wei will be around.
I've been on a deadline -- the deadline of EVERYTHING, NOW! Which deadline I mostly met.
However, my email has stacked up PRETTY badly, and people are starting to send that second and third email that asks if I got the previous emails.
I am going to try to answer some of them before I take off, but I might sleep instead. Actually right this SECOND I have to run off and do the ESO show before I can sleep.
But I DID DO THIS:
I rough-cut a whole lot of my 7 hours of 5X-Day video into my computer, and am sending DV copies of that 2 hour rough cut to both Yonderboy and to Sinphaltimus Exmortus, both of whom have expressed interest in merging my footage with theirs. Sinphaltimus already sent me his. And you wouldn't BELIEVE what the EuroSubs did with their 5X-Day home movies. Editing for the rest of us to LIVE UP TO. The rough assemblage I'm sending out is missing stuff from the middle two reels (Saturday afternoon), but what's there should be loads of fun for someone to work with. It has been for me so far.
I also got a major chunk of work done on a SubGenius timeline, the beginning of a SubGenius History Book-Movie-Thing. I had wanted to post its rough form before leaving town, but it's too rough. Would cause nothing but trouble. I have to clear up a couple of murky things with Philo, and, through him, hopefully even with "Bob."
It IS fairly breathtaking to skim that list of things seen, said and done. It ought to make quite an interesting multimedia presentation eventually.
Anyway, I have been busting ass off line, and now am going to slack off offline, so if I didn't answer your email and you feel insulted, well, at least you can't feel insulted ALONE. I had to whip through this wall of video pretty intensively while I had access to the equipment.
I have not slept much lately.
Oh lordy, radio show time, must go, then, when return, must sleep tiny and go again.
Forgive me for not answering your cruel and kind emails yet, or even the actual packages of videotapes and CD-Rs, which, if you sent one, I thought it was great. Seriously, ALL the ones that came this month WERE great, it's just that I'm working on OUR great one while I can. Borrowed camera gear, you see.
Happy Holidays and all to all, and all.
