"BAD CLOWN RINGWORM CIRCUS"
is the pilot for a cartoon TV show, made by a SubGenius,
Rev. Jason
Dubin.
Sunday, October 6, it's being shown at
Two Boots Pioneer Theater's Short Film Slam
155 E. 3rd Street Ave. A
New York, New York
2 p.m.
I saw these cartoons and they are TRULY fucked up. I
mean in the good
way. The protagonists are 5 extremely dysfunctional
clowns; the plot
is, they must travel by car across America to retrieve
the corpse of a
dead relative so that they can collect an inheritance.
The art is
minimalistic and very clean looking, which accentuates
the
fucked-upedness of the characters. It has a strange,
jerky pacing which
gives it a Lynchish spaced out quality. The clowns'
dialog on the other
hand has an almost S. Clay Wilson lilt to it.
As a long time explorer of the Evil Clown and Fucked
Up Clown motifs
since high school, and as a compulsive low-tech animator,
I give Bad
Clown Ringworm Circus an A plus in both evil and befuckedness.
"Bob" makes a cameo appearance on the side of a truck.
The NYC clench might make a party of it.

If that's your cup of cold vomit, let me recommend the
DVD GOD HATES
CARTOONS (a Bright Red Rocket Release) http://www.brightredrocket.com
It was sent to the Kooks Museum by our friend Tim Maloney.
His
cartoon of Ivan Brunetti's "Diaper Dyke and Captain
Boyfuck" contains
the most offensive dialogue I have ever heard in a cartoon
OR ANY
OTHER FORM OF ENTERTAINMENT MEDIA, and I don't say that
lightly.

He said the BBC was interested a few months ago, but
that's the last I
heard.
One would think it would look promising to a New York
TV executive:
"It's crude looking, foul-mouthed, and made by
an unknown -- therefore
it must be another Southpark or Space Ghost! It fits
this year's
formula!" Except that this year's formula is actually
EXPENSIVE, BLAND
IMITATIONS of crude, foul toons made by unknowns.
