Yes friends, the Akron Devival was one of the most densely
packed Slack
events I have ever seen, creating a pocket singularity
that no devival since
in this state, let alone anything since Brushwood, has
boasted in quite some
time. There was not a square inch that was not inhabited
by the most amazing
levels of oozing Slack that I have seen in quite a while,
and although some
of you may not have been in attendance, your spirit
and intent was felt as
the desolate, dead streets of Akron, which resembled
something out of some
bad part of Vanilla Sky, did reverberate with massive
Slackful waves from
the lil' bar, formerly known as Mr. Bilbo's, now come
back to us resurrected
as the awesome Lime Spider.
Saint "N" and Hellena, ESO, and a newcomer
who shall forhence be known as
they-who-kick-mighty-sonic-ass, aka The Amino Acids,
did spew such glorious
tunage that the walls veritably shook with the thunder
of Dobbs. As usual,
Stang did his job of wondrous rant-blasting, mind bending
preachin', and
reached down into the souls of the assemblage, yanking
their spiritual
chains and turning them inside out with awe. In addition,
Rev. Onan did a
mirthful and poignant sing along for slack, Legume whopped
the uninitiated
over the heads with a blast of kickass storytelling,
and Phloighd rapped
until the pinkness ran from the room screaming:)
I'd like to apologize to those I didn't get to say goodbye
to, as St. Patty
conked out, and both of us needed to make haste back
to our Clevelandia cave
before we both dissolved into puddles of goo. So, I'd
like to thank the
following for just being such cool folk:
Rev.Toth Wilder,
Rev.Steve,
Sexmortus,
Jacklyn,
Doc Pissoff and daughter
Joy and Prostata,
Saint "N" and Hellena,
All the Devo folk we met,
Saint Al,
Chris Lee and the Quijfolk,
Sister Rachel,
Ms. TV, aka Evangela,
Meester Seester,
Dr. Dark,
Legume,
Pater Nostril,
Onan,
Enni and her fella,
Jimbo,
Cowboy Dave,
Chas and the other ESO boys,
The cool folks guarding the door,
and of course, Stang and Wei, gracious as always. To
any I missed, my
apologies, but its 3am, and I'm passing out now...
*Thud*
Regards,
Rev.Geo
