I first read the Book of the SubGenius in the 1980s
when I borrowed it
from my local library!
I was curious how many libraries might have it. OCLC
Worldcat lists
thirty that have copies of the 1983 printing, fifty-one
that have
copies of the 1987 printing; it lists twenty-four that
have Revelation
X, 133 that have Three-Fisted Tales, and 206 that have
High Weirdness
By Mail! (Unless I'm reading this wrong. Each entry
says "OCLC
member libraries worldwide:" followed by a number.)
Four have copies of something titled Homo Patrol, which
evidently had
an introduction by Ivan Stang...?
The Biscuit Bible, with its introduction by Philo Drummond
came up
with "OCLC member libraries worldwide: 1,"
but at the end of the entry
it stated "No libraries found with item worldwide."
This weird entry also came up:
All men are equalish :
the view from inside prison, HMP Swansea /
J R Dobbs; Clive Hopwood
1995
English Books 43 p. : ill. ; 21 cm.
Connah's Quay : I*D Books in association with ARTS CARE
and BAR NONE
BOOKS, ISBN: 1874600430 (pbk)
I couldn't find any more information about J.R. Dobb's
All men are
equalish. Anyone heard of it? Could this be someone
pretending to be
*The* J.R. "Bob" Dobbs, or perhaps the same
J.R. Dobbs who wrote The
Effect of Heat Treatment on Microfissuring in Alloy
718, and other
scientific essays, or some other Dobbs?

Well it's either this:
http://www.bolerium.com/cgi-bin/bol48/13606.html
Or this:
http://www.shop-gay.net/6440.html
Probably the latter because it has "documented footage."
No info on "All men are equalish"

The alleged co-author, Clive Hopwood, comes up in my
searches as
author of childrens' material, and such titles as "Dinosaur
Fun File"
and "Memories; Reminiscences of Deeside."
Nothing comes up on the
ISBN or the title.
