Krofts to take over FUTURAMA

FOX Broadcasting announced today that the hit TV animated series
FUTURAMA will be revamped to a live-action format come next year.
Control will be taken away from creator Matt Groening and he will
be replaced by Sid & Marty Kroft, known for their super-popular
H.R. Puffnstuf and Lidsville shows. "We did all we could to kill
this show off," said a FOX executive, "and yet it was successful
in spite of all we did. We are confident that the Kroft Brothers
joining the team will be the nail in the coffin of this
much-beloved show."
