Oh my god I LOVE IT. I thought the stories of my nurse's assistant friend
were the grossest thing I ever heard, like the guy who died in the nursing
home and just postmortem, laid a 3-foot long turd that was, no shit, 6
inches in diameter. Some of these in the same vein.

She partially scalped herself and I had to peel back the scalp and
pick the leaves,
dirt and flowers off her skull while she waited to go to theatre.

Another NA and myself were doing last rounds
and we could smell something in her room (we knew that she had
been picking and fecal smearing the past few nights). So we went in to
see how bad
it was and we walked in and saw....that her lips were brown!
She had eaten her poop and then gone back to sleep!

It was a SOFTBALL sized fibroid HANGING OUT of her vagina!!!

You know what REALLY grosses nurses out? Their iffy paychecks, incredibly long
hours, having to be de facto pharmacists at an insane rate of increase, limited
chance for advancement that leads to anywhere better, imperious doctors who fail
to see them as the vital eyes and hands they really are, hospital
administrations that would prefer to fire them and bring in less able ringers
than allow them to unionize over all of these issues and patients who expect
them to be superhuman.

I've dated 3 and lived with another for 13 years, who was once asked to falsify
a drug chart to cover the head nurse's ass, which is a MAJOR felony, so I've
heard the tales and then some.

No occasional experience with an unusually bilious outbreak of human-body-itis,
no matter how grody or weird, can match the ONGOING grind of low pay, high
stress & contempt they often face. Think about it the next time a nurse treats
you well or a phlebotomist gets the needle in and out like a champ. Their skills
& the means to implement them with some class don't drop from a clear blue sky.

Now getting a Glandscaping from a drunken Church Doktor with a Pipe smeared on
his or her chest in shoe polish, that's YOUR problem.
