So I saw the promo for the upcoming Lord of the Rings movie.

I must admit, when that craze happened in the 70's, I was just a hair
too old to give a rat's ass about Frodo and all that. I know that's put
me behind the 8 ball culturally for the past 3 decades. In some ways,
you can be a vile atheistic racist in public, ranting and raving, and
not receive the condemnation you would get if you admitted to people YOU
DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT LOTR!

What I wonder is, now that we are trying to bomb out a strange medieval
civilization that lives under the ground, anybody would care to see a
MOVIE about actually BEING in medieval times and trying to smash the
fuck out of a civilization that lives under the ground??? Dontcha think
we should be entertaining ourselves with FANTASIES that distance us as
far from reality as possible? How about robots from the future that
live in the sky or something????

I, for one think it is really dumb for the US to back
that ruthless dictator Gnrrfg Ghen. There is even some

I can't wait until December 19th. I told my adopted daughter today
(who just turned 21, thank goodness) that I was going to kidnap her
and we were going to go see that movie.
