Well, although I must admit that I am of the old school
in thinking a
little less liberty in wartime is prolly OK, this article
here completly
floored me:
http://abcnews.go.com/sections/us/DailyNews/bush_terror011113.html
We're days away from summary execution w/o hearing,
IMHO. My only hope
is to be able to volunteer as citizen-executioner.
Or, as they will
prolly call it, "retirement counselor".

Let us review:
1) The Bush family were in real tight with the Nazis.
2) Ridge has complemented the Nazis and Mussolini.
3) National Socialism was a philosophy, one which many
Americans embraced.
4) Many kept their philosophy through WWII and after,
with the idea of resurrecting its ideas.
5) So now, with the new "executive orders"
in place,
what *else* has to be changed to make America a
truly "fascist" country? Bear in mind
that there
are two kinds of fascism, the "real" National
Socialist philosophy; and a mutant form of
militaristic fanaticism that appeals to neo-Nazis.

Most Americans don't understand German.
The media will translate it for us, though:
We must listen to our president and not
fear the terrorists. We must show that we
are strong Americans and spend this upcoming
holiday season in order to pull ourselves out
of this economic depression.
Kind of a longwinded way of saying

Would they get pissed off if you put the patch

Now, you can't say that for sure. What if you
are cut in an angle, so like in a cartoon, your
top half just slips down and falls off your
bottom half? Or what if your legs go running
off in a different direction, leaving your torso
just hanging there in mid-air? Now THAT'S funny!

Between DARE, Sensitivity Training, and anti-gun, anti-rights
teaching both
explicit and implied, I'd say our youth are being indoctrinated
quite well,
thank you. If it wasn't for Hollywood glorification

Not to throw a blanket on the fun, but this new executive
order and the
military trials only apply to non-citizens. They aren't
protected by the
Constitution and shouldn't be, especially during war
time. Amazing the news
article left out that little detail. I suspect they
wanted to get everyone up
in arms.
If we don't stop the terrorism and fast, the con WILL
use it to justify far
worse things. My way of thinking is take away the privilages
from the ones who
shouldn't have it in the first place-- the non tax paying
illegals. Then the
green card holders and non-citizens lose privilages
long before citizens. The
citizens should only lose consitutional privilages as
an absolute last resort,
and then, only by both houses of Congress.
If we fight every little change they propose with knee-jerk
reactionary
protests, the terrorism will continue and the end result
will be far worse than
and inconvenience a lot more people than just the non-citizens.
Let's be honest
with one another: If Gore were President, they 2nd ammendment
would be gone by
now. So things COULD be worse... (though I admit, NOT
BY MUCH!)

We're doomed, then.
How in the 104 Unpronouncable Names of G'BroagFran do
you expect them to
STOP 'the terrorists'? They're spread out all over
the world, they dont
have a real headquarters or a government, and they surely
aren't idiotic

Actually, they are doomed because they don't understand
the IMPORTANCE of good
uniforms! Clothes make the man, not towel heads...
But seriously, it's easy and fun to attack any new restrictions
that go into
effect as a result of this. (I certainly have done the
same thing myself.) But
I realize like most folks that something has to be done.
If you don't support
increasing restictions on illegals and non-citizens,
then what do you support?
Increasing restrictions on everyone, including the vast
majority of tax paying
citizens? Something has to be done. Keeping it on cruise
control for another
decade is not an option. (I imagine a lot of the same
people attacking the
administration for over reacting would instead attack
them for not reacting
enough, if they followed the "implied advice"
of earlier posts and just sat
back and hoped no further acts of terrorism occurred.)
I'm all for sarcasm. But there's a point where we have
to be realistic. The
fact is those 5,000 people were killed by illegal and
recent green card
carrying Arabs. In the history of the US, we've never
encountered terrorist who
knowingly killed themselves for their cause. These non-natives
are the first.
(Even Tim Mcveigh didn't stick around to be blown up
in the Federal Building).
These weren't loose cannons, but soilders working in
an orchestrated attack. It
won't stop because those dozen bastards are dead.
So given that someone HAS to do something, I prefer
to see most the
restrictions placed on the group where most the culprits
came from: Recent
immigrants. That may be very non-pc, but f*ck it. It's
a fact. Better to
restrict those most likely to cause a repreat of the
disaster and preserve the
constitution than to restrict everyone and start reducing
the bill of rights.
It may not seem very nice or fair, but the bill of rights
and other
constitutional protections do NOT apply to non-citizens.
(Read it if you don't
believe me.) From that standpoint, this is a restrained
response to a radical
problem. And before attacking it further, indicate what
better solutions you
have to offer. Otherwise we should assume complainers
would change nothing, or
would rather the new restictions effect all 280 million
Americans. I don't
think too many people would agree either of those alternatives
are better.

Maybe our hesitation comes from their declaring war
against a slogan. It has the same ring as "The
War
On Drugs", or some commie country's "War On
Corruption". "Vietnamization"?
But lets take the first problem, "The War On Drugs."
It has every characteristic that "terrorism"
has:
an international component, a domestic component,
lots of money and guns. The only difference is that
"terrorism" doesn't offer a product for sale.
Well, the US Government tried to wage "war"
against
the foreign drug makers. It didn't work. So they
turned their attentions to something easier, the
"supporters" living in the US. You know the
rest.
By now, the "War on Drugs" has become a joke.
The
government keeps at it, despite any reasonable
argument to the contrary. It is insane. Perhaps
they want to end it, but they don't know how.
When will "The War On Terrorism" end? Really?
Give me a single thing that says we can live in peace,
no longer under threat more from our own government
than some foreign guy 10,000 miles away.

Won't it? I haven't heard about any new suicide bombings
(in the USA,
anyway--they're listed on the 'weather' page in Isreali
newspapers).

<<Maybe not, but the Universal Declaration of Human Rights does.
Have you read it?>>
I couldn't give two sh*ts what that PC dogma says. I
didn't vote for it and
neither did anyone I elected. Or that you elected or
our ancestors elected for
that matter. That's part of the new world order b.s.
The only document that
matters as far as our laws are concerned is the Constitution,
and that does
NOT give the same rights to non-US citizens that we
have. Try reading that
first and you'll see how rediculous this topic title
is. The US constitution is
the foundation for all other laws in the US. The Universal
Declaration of Human
Rights means nothing legally, not in this country or
any other. It's just
touchy feely pie in the sky crap. UN bozos (appointees)
pledging to think pure
thoughts. That's how they pass such resolutions, because
they have no
compliance provisions. Otherwise China and Russia would
veto them. Try
prosecuting someone for breaking it and you'll see what
I mean. But maybe you
were being sarcastic. If so, it's funny indeed. Haw-haw!
A country's most basic right is it's right to protect
and enforce its borders.
That includes deporting illegal immigrants (and visa
jumpers) and preventing
the illegal acts those immigrants could commit. If they
break the laws while
they are here, it's stupid to give them the same expensive
time consuming legal
process we give our citizens, including costly public
defenders, especially
during war when time could be a life or death issue.
Again, if you don't like the executive order, spell
out what YOU would do
instead. All I hear is griping but no sensible alternatives.
Bitching is easy.
Lets hear your bright ideas so we can pick them apart
with the same sarcasm.
Silly "joke" responses will be taken to mean
that you have no better "real"
ideas to offer.
