O MY GOD this digital editting is eating me up ALIVE!!!

I just finished the XXX-Day "AGONY OF 7. A.M." SPECIAL Hour of Slack and BOY was the tweaking a bitch/joy. Assembling ALL SOUNDFUL CHUNK-BITES CONCERNING the prophecy was no PROBLEM. NAY. Making it all fit into an hour... and not have long silly boring chunks.... while making the cuts therof inaudible... I MUST SAY, I am one FAST "FUCK-CUTTING" FOOL!! But... but... the tweaking could literally go on endlesly, and THE SHOW MUST GO ON -- every week. It's my one discipline. I have stuck to it for 16 years and SEVEN HUNDRED AND FORTY SEVEN SHOWS, I'll have you know. All but the very first few aired on more than one "real station." SO THERE, Mr. Monday Morning Quarterback, Mr. Wheelchail General!

And I am waiting for the first CD to burn so I can hear what it sounds like assembled, and not all hodge-podge editor-style!

But this, this eeking out a show a week, it is only the bare minimum. I must KEEP TRANSFERING ENDLESSLY!!! The old Media Barrage tapes... the Drs.s... the prank calls and crazy-man tapes... not to mention the BOTTOMLESS RADIO BEST-OFs!!!! The stuf that Chas and I have in our vaults... it's... it's OBSCENE!! All of it must now begin being constantly funneled from my STILL WORKING (!!) 4-track reel to reel (on which all the old stuf was mastered) into Muleskinner II, my G4 Mac, thence to 2-gig Orb discs thence onto CDs using the gullet of old slow, gray-haired Muleskinner I to burn 'em... listenable CDs and the original audio "AIF" files too. You have to keep those or you just aren't an anal enough son of a bitch.

BUT SUBSITE!!! THE ART MINES!!! They're languishing untended while this INCREDIBLE SHIT has stacked uP!

And I have to preach tomorrow night at a new place for me, the Blind Lemon, on the West Side; all our other shows have been East Side, so this should produce a new crowd of first-time devival Cleveland drunks (the drunkest of ALL drunks!).

Praise Dobbs, BROKEN CIRCLE GOSPEL DELUXE is headlining so the ENERGY of the TRUE FIGHTIN' JESUS will join with the ENERGY OF SLACK, the SubGenius congregation, and EINSTEIN'S SECRET ORCHESTRA to create a LIVING VORTEX of, if nothing else, good music and fairly clever catcalls.

ESO is playing RIGHT NOW (FRIDAY NIGHT) at the Strange Daze festival, a big hippie music event with Daevid from Gong and some Hawkwind guys and a bunch of NE space-a-delic bands.

OH MY GOD!!! THE CD IS DONE COOKING! I NOW GET TO HEAR THE FINISHED XXX-DAY SPECIAL #3 (or is it 4?) !! And it had better be good because I don't have time to do any more to it. SHOW MUST GO ON.
