Ok that chapter would take at least 20 minutes to read period. That equals
about a 10 foot long turd while driving something big enough to be getting
oral sex in without splattering your partner. No wonder I could never get
all the way through it in one shot.

Avoid prolonged exposure to that chapter. Brief skimmage, very quickly,
so little bits stick in your mind like lint.

After about four or five hundred such skimmings, IT starts to take
shape, by which time you'll be ready and able to cope with IT.

You see, if you read it all in one go, by the time you get IT, IT has
already seen, and is about to get, YOU. Janor wrote of IT, and
Troutwaxer can testify to what IT has done to Janor in retaliation.
Pretty soon we'll read about Janor's death in some locked room
somewhere, with the sign of IT scrawled nearby in blood from his
torn-open throat. If he still has one recognisable as such.
