I'm sure you have all noticed this one by now but...today I was flipping thru
my copy of SPIN (fuck you, it had a phish article I wanted to read) and noticed
thier roundup of "summer concert events and festivals" and it listed
XXXDay...except it claimed that the world would end on July 2nd!!!!! did I miss
a memo or were we all just so duped by THEM that we missed our own rupture?
and then to top it all off I get home and am flipping thru the channels (fuck
you, the real world marathon was on) and there on MONDAY NIGHT NITRO

No prob, there are FAR worse things than Spin, such as clog
dancing, Christian Right Republikans and abcessed teeth. All of
which are rather similar, when you think about it.

Don't worry, its just part of The Plan. Pinks will be
disappointed and GO HOME EARLY so WE can reap the full harvest of
Slack that THEY couldn't appreciate ANYway. After all, the
crystalline SoulCanisters take a certain amount of time to cool
into fully usable shape and if we don't have enough for all the

That's just what we WANT them to think. We've been promoting XXX-Day as July
"2" this year because July 2 happens to fall on a Sunday. More curious souls
will show up for the Rupture if they think it's going to happen on a weekend,
just like any other concert or convention. So if more souls show up, that
means the Foundation GETS MORE MONEY!
Of COURSE the *real* Rupture will take place on July 5th. But the XXX-Day
celebration at Brushwood will be from June 29th (a Thursday) through July 2nd
(a Sunday).

naw, real slackmasters such as myself will catch the "official"
festivities at brushwood starting the 29th, then take the 3rd and 4th off
for the standard pink bullshit and the 5th for my own mind-wrenching
Xday festivities. I've already let everyone know that I'm just not working
from the 29th till the 6th. Having the "official" Xday thing on the
weekend just means I have an excuse to grab MORE SLACK/SACK TIME.
Of course, none of my clients realize that I'm not planning to
even be on this stupid PLANET come july 6th... Hell, even the worst
possible case I'll have a 7day weekend.
