Alt.slack seems boring to many subgeniuses; they claim that it's just a
bunch of bickering trolls hungry for the blood of newbies combined with
weirdoes who comb the Web for the most bizarre, bigoted or frighteningly
real sites they can find. They point to guys like john-hancock-1776 and
say, See??! All of this may be true, but I have just realized how
AMAZINGLY clever, witty, and fascinating it all becomes if you only have
something else you're supposed to be doing instead. Right now, I have
less than ten hours to complete my final essay for a very "important"
class. Have I even started it yet? HELL NO! I can't tear myself away
from these fascinating stories of intrigue, tattoos and spanking. I
thought to myself a moment ago, "Maybe I should go start that paper
now," but then I realized. In one week, I'll be done with undergraduate
studies forever. I'll NEVER be able to work up this level of interest
in alt.slack again, unless I go on to grad school. Therefore, as a
SubGenius, it is my sacred duty to glean all the slack I can out of
procrastinating on alt.slack while it is still interesting to me. Rave
on!
