Last year, while I was unemployed, it looked like I would be unable to
make it to XX-Day. I was rich in slack but poor in funds, and I was
contemplating selling CDs and pawning my stereo. (For those of you who
know how much I love and thrive from music, you know how dire that
was!)
But I was sent a check from a noble SubGenius who was moved to help.
Without that check, I WOULD have pawned my things.
This year, I'm doing much better money-wise. But there are others who
aren't, and who are looking at the possibility of not participating in
XXX-Day.
Worse, these proud SubGenii are part of the backbone of the X-Day
festivities. They play important roles, work hard because they WANT TO,
and are among the most DESERVING of any SubGenius.
I'm talking about Dr. K'Taden Legume and Rev. Nickie Deathchick.
I'm talking about the man who comes up with half the things that happen
at X-Day, and the woman who puts 'em back together after they try out
Legume's ideas. Without them, X-Day would be SAFER, but DULLER.

or both. THIS IS SERIOUS.
It's so serious, I'm sending $50 to both of them. If you can too, do

$10 would be a great help.
Seriously, can you IMAGINE XXX-Day, Legumeless and sans Nickie? I can,
and I don't WANT to. DON'T MAKE ME. PLEASE PLEDGE.
