1.) Why a Goathead?
alt.slack.goathead is the replacement for alt.bob.bring-me-a-goathead, a
newsgroup which just showed up on The Loop's server one fine Spring day.
Since alt.bob.bring-me-a-goathead violates certain rules for length of
Usenet newsgroup names, it disappeared another fine Spring day. So began
the quest to start alt.slack.goathead.
Why a goathead? I don't rightly know. Only the mysterious creator of the
deceased newsgroup alt.bob.bring-me-a-goathead knows, and s/he isn't
2.) What's on topic on alt.slack.goathead?
Anything that's on topic in alt.slack, plus I encourage the posting of
recipes and Chupacabra sightings.
3.) What's a Chupacabra?
Chupacabra translates as "Goat Sucker" in Spanish. They are creatures that
have been associated with small animal mutilations in Latin America, and
also share many characteristics with the entities associated with UFO
sightings. They are small of stature, resemble "Extraterrestrial
Biological Entities" with Mohawks, and have the apparent ability to change
color. They are also sorta amusing to me, that's why I mention them so
If you live in a city with a large Spanish-speaking population, chances
are you will see many Chupacabra T-Shirts around.
Oh yeah...they suck blood.
4.) What's Slack? What's Bob? What's a SubGenius?
