I have re-read my famous "Dumbasses" post again and again, and I cannot
find the "grating," "superior" tone that it has been accused of having.
Therefore, I've concluded that it must be me myself that people see as
arrogant and exclusionary. I want to assure you all that my childhood
and adolescence was every bit as painful, humiliating, and sexually
frustrating as yours. I am a geek, I was in the "special program," I
had the Gold Pass, I campaigned for Flag Guardian and LOST, my nickname
was alternately "Skinny Stick" and "Neo-Nazi-Nympho-Dyke-From-Hell", I
have been "circled" by the Christian Youth, and I assaulted them, I was
the least popular person in my school, a universal source of merriment
for all sadistic fucks in white baseball caps. I never had a single
date with anyone in my school, I had to go two towns over and put on
lipstick and act like a dumbass to get laid. It got so bad I had a
nervous breakdown in my senior year, so then I was both a geek AND
crazy, and I'm sure many of you know what a hell that is when you walk
back in those big front doors and there they all are, cow-faced and
blood-hungry. It seems impossible to me that anyone would think that
I'm part of some popular crowd, excluding geeks. I'm STILL a geek, I
still blow curves and get dirty looks and it's only the friendly nature
of the Texan people that has made my time here bearable, only by their
grace and conficence in their own superiority that they have not torn me
apart. I had a close call one time when I dared to say that some women
like spanking, but they just whooped and hollered. I wear protective
camoflage and I have a lucky arrangement of features but I have the UGLY
SOUL of the Yeti beneath my skin.

If you didn't, nobody would have bothered to get pissed off.

We save that for friends.

You know, being a member since the early 80s, I remember when the
Church didn't have hardly ANY WOMEN at all, at least not in
California.

We've come a long way baby....

I'm a DOE Yeti, we're protected throughout the eighty-year mating cycle.
